This course explores Australia through a remarkable range of stunning maps—from satellite images and digital elevation models to geochemical, geophysical and other deep-Earth maps.
Participants will learn how each map is created and how geoscientists interpret Australia's geology from the surface into the mantle.

Each session reveals a new way of seeing the continent and includes activities to help build confidence in recognising and interpreting map patterns. The course includes a guided visit to Geoscience Australia's public displays.

No prior knowledge is required. Ideal for anyone who is curious about geology/landscapes and understanding Australia from a new perspective.
