The seminal years of popular music – 1955 to 1980 (M119.04)

Vacancies

The course concentrates on the development of pop music between 1954 and 1980 ...though not confined to that period.
Sessions cover influential artists and groups from the obvious to the esoteric. They also include various genres from Jump Blues to Bubblegum...from Folk to Punk.
Typically, each session may include up to three presentations by course members plus a fun trivia. Examples include: Music and Sport, The Brill Building, Warren Zevon, Northern Soul, Transformative Covers, etc... The group also has an informal band, so if you are musically talented and interested in music, then think about also joining the band.
