Pre-Intermediate French (L153.03)

This course follows on from Elementary French, where we used Mon Alter Ego 1 and have recently begun using Mon Alter Ego 2. You will need to have, e.g., a working knowledge of the present, present perfect and imperfect tenses, of frequently used irregular verbs, and of direct and indirect object pronouns. You will have a reasonable vocabulary, and be capable of having a basic conversation in French. The course objective is to extend current abilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing, and especially speaking. You will need to attend every week – and bring your sense of humour to class!

	School terms only: no classes during school holidays.
Venue:	Hughes CC Rm 2
Costs:	$20 every 10 weeks for room rent. An occasional small charge for photocopying.
Student Materials:	'Mon Alter Ego 2' (Hachette), and if desired, 'Mon Alter Ego 2 Cahier d'Activités'.
