Taboo Topics is a discussion forum held on a weekly basis. The program is participant driven, drawing on current issues in Australia and the world. In the current context the group could consider topics such as: The Future of the LNP Coalition, Trump's impact on Australia, The Ethics of the Gaza Conflict, The Future of the Welfare State in Australia, How Should Our Society Deal with Domestic Violence? More conventional ethical topics could include: What Is a Just Society, Should We All Be Vegetarians or Can Men and Women Truly Be Equal.

Normal term dates will apply within these parameters. Meetings will be on Thursdays.

Student Materials:Generally there are no materials required apart from the expectation to be reasonably well read on current events. By agreement, the group may elect to read materials circulated ahead of time or participate in hypotheticals with an agreed scenario.
