More humane access to Voluntary Assisted Dying in the ACT (SHE139.01)
Vacancies
This course aims to give members of U3A and the ACT community an opportunity to discuss whether access to voluntary assisted dying provided in the ACT is an adequate response to the end-of-life challenges we increasingly face in our ageing society. The course will provide interested people with information about access provided in other countries, the different rationales for access, and the changes that would be necessary to give Canberrans more humane end-of-life options than currently available. The pros and cons of voluntary assisted dying will NOT be discussed. Voluntary Assisted Dying will soon be legal in all Australian jurisdictions, and in about 50 other jurisdictions around the world.
