Introduction to Go - the ultimate strategic board game (R120.01)
Waiting List Only
Go (aka weiqi, igo, baduk) originated in China perhaps 3000 years ago. It is widely played and culturally significant in China, Japan and Korea, but less known in the west. It is very easy to learn, but takes a lifetime to master - the goal and rules are simple but the strategy is complex and far-reaching. The game rewards attitudes of respect, balance, initiative, efficiency and flexibility.
You will learn by playing, interspersed with short discussions on key concepts and tactics. Aimed at newcomers with no prior knowledge, the format also caters for established players returning to the game.
