Discovering and Enjoying Classical Music (Term 2) - Frédéric Chopin & Friends (M029.33)
Vacancies
Our enjoyment of classical music is enhanced by combining listening and learning. This term we will explore the music of Frédéric Chopin, one of the 19th century's most important composers. Most of his output is for solo piano and it includes some of the instrument's best known and loved repertoire. Chopin's music has been described as "speaking a new language - one of intimate poetry, inner turmoil and lyrical grace". We will also touch on the music of peers such as Liszt and Schumann.
No special knowledge is required.
