The Cousins' War: A History of the Wars of the Roses: 1455-1487 (H257.01)
Vacancies
Fifteenth century England is traditionally viewed as a time of chaos, of public disorder, collapsing government and civil war, a time when noble families battled for the ultimate prize, the Crown of England. It was a time of transition that some say ended the Middle Ages and moved England into the modern world. This was the age of the Wars of the Roses. We will examine the causes, course of and outcomes of the events of this tumultuous period which will also provide a window into better understanding the nature of English medieval life, including its governance, society, politics and warfare.
