Chinese Culture Through Literature And Film (VIRTUAL COURSE) (ELL104.07)
Vacancies
What is China like? We try to answer this question by reading its literature in translation, looking at the dynasties in which their stories arose, watching films, and asking how the long story of China and its literary geniuses have helped shape the China of today. We meet on Zoom, mostly weekly, Wednesdays 2-4pm, with an occasional face to face meeting. This year we will start with the classic 18th century novel Dream of the Red Chamber. We try to be open minded. If you would like to embark on this journey of discovery with us, you will be welcome.
