This art history course covers the period from when Australian artists began to paint plein - air, that is, outdoors. It follows those artists who camped and painted in and around Melbourne, including Heidelberg. Also includes artists painting in Sydney in the Impressionist style, and the influence of the European Impressionists and British Realists. May include a visit to a local gallery.
